One Cloudy Sunday

More random shots throughout the house and yard. I need to get in my car and drive somewhere I think, I'm getting bored of my yard!!! lol I seem to enjoy Sunday's for taking photos, too. Maybe I'll head out on Wednesday since I'm off. I was hoping that there'd be some snow left after the big snowfall we got on Friday but it was warm on Sat. and Sun. and most of it melted. Oh well...Spring is coming, right?

Meet Isabelle!!!!

Last night I purchased my dream camera. I've finally become a member of the Rebel XT Club! :) :) With an awesome bonus from work, I finally decided to spend some of it on me. Our trip in April is paid for and I really wanted this camera to take with us to Punta Cana in April!!! It will be our first trip South and I want to record everything that we do there and all that beautiful scenery!!!

Here are a few of the first photos that I took with Belle! :) Just random shots throughout the house and some of the kids at skating today!

Dream Photo

As a child I remember seeing photographs in magazines of sunflowers...fields of sunflowers. I always said I would love to find one and just take pictures...every angle, one single sunflower, the whole field - just take pictures.

Every time we went on a Sunday drive as a teenager and family vacations...just about everywhere I went, I looked for fields of sunflowers, never found any. I was at my parents house one day and found a picture of a field of sunflowers that my father had taken...I asked him where that was and he told me acrossed the road from our old house in Nova Scotia...well who knew the hay field would one day - long after I was gone from that area I might add - would be planted with sunflowers...literally right in my own back yard!!!! I still have not seen that field, never visit at the right time of year....one day I will!!!

Well, long story short, one day, just a few kms from where I live now I found a field of sunflowers and had my camera with me. I parked on the side of the road, walked into the field and this is the view I enjoyed....late in the season and almost ready to drop but they are gorgeous to me! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

These pictures have been cropped in Paint Shop Pro IX with a sunset script run on them...the sun was almost gone by the time I saw this field so I had to give them a little push to see the full effect of the beauty in them!!
